Chad, who invented 12 of 12 five long years ago, makes us realize how fast time goes by. What, again the 12th of a month, not possible, I just posted my pics a few days ago!!!! By the way, he will stop to host it after the 12 months of 2010. He writes: “This is it.  The final year I plan to host 12 of 12, so get on board now. Over the years the idea has been out and out stolen, adapted, and started all new websites.  I think part of me didn’t want to give up the idea because I created it five years ago and didn’t want to let go, but in the end… who cares. The only people that matter in my life know that it was my idea.

So thank you Chad for connecting so many people from so many countries!

This time it is especially embarrassing for me having to admit that I have to cheat. After three icy but supersunny WEEKS the big rain came back last night. It has been more than dark all day long and raining cats and dogs. Better say: neither cat nor dog wanted to go outside.

And I didn’t leave the house either as we were having a nice excursion yesterday where I took some lovely photographs which I was sorting today. So I didn’t really cheat. | Der Rest der Eispracht.

So that is from yesterday on our way to Lidl for a huge shopping – about 30 km away from our place. I had driven the car for about three weeks due to those roads.

We bought a lot of healthy stuff which is still in the basket, it looks so nice.

Here again yesterday: we discovered that a new pier was ready to be walked in our little town of Bantry.

From the pier you now have new looks at the ‘skyline’ of Bantry.

And a new view of Bantry House, home to Lord of Bantry and set of many movies.

They have a huge parc with gorgeous and rare plants. | Dort ist ein wunderschöner Garten angelegt.

And a distant view toward Hungry Hill, namesake of Daphne de Maurier’s famous novel.

The pier is built just at a big graveyard with lovely celtic crosses.

Back home there was a lovely sunset.

To complete January’s 12 of 12 I took a picture of my hand. Mal dabei.
