Seit fast zwei Wochen schlich ich im Supermarkt um die Hyazinthenzwiebelknospen. “Nein, brauch ich nicht, nein, zwei Euro pro Stück ist zuviel, nein, ich habe viele im Garten, bald sind sie da. Nein, nein.” Heute sahen sie sooo erbärmlich aus, die langen weißen reisnudelartigen Wurzeln waren inzwischen vertikal nach oben aus den Töpfen gewachsen. Da muss man sich doch erbarmen… zwei Stück für drei Euro, okay und ab in die ungeliebte Kuchenform und auf die sonnenbeschienene Kommode. Perfekt!
For two weeks I have been sneaking around those hyacinths in the local supermarket. “Too expensive, it’s not spring yet, not necessary, we have many in the garden, soon they will apear, no, no, no”. Today they looked sooo poor, their long white roots were growing up around the bulb. The price was reduced and I had the pity to take two of the unhappy plants home, planted them into an unloved baking form and placed them in a very sunny part of the veranda. Perfect!
