| I was asked by Julochka whether it is really possible to cook sweetened condensed milk in the unopened can.

| If you don’t mind those extra-inches on your hip you can! Just pour boiling water into a small pan, close the lid and simmer for one hour. There is no risk of explosion (I cooked this wonderful dessert many many times so far).

| After one hour you open the can and the alchemistic transformation of a bright sweet liquid is done: it became a rather thick-lish fudge-like delicacy.

| In my childhood days in Brazil they used to feed it to skinny children with poor appetite. Besides many calories it contains plenty of calcium. I had planned to serve it along with some piece of fruit… but we spontaneously decided to munch it right from the can. You could also spread it on cakes and toast or mix it with 1 table spoon of best cocoa powder. And/or add 5 drops of organic essential oil of orange peel. Anyhow and any way it’s a nice treat for a sweet tooth…
