Wow, the fastest upload for a 12 of 12 ever! I am in Vienna looking after my friend’s appartment and the first view out of the window is WHITE! I took this picture through a glass vase to add some colour. It is the third 12 of 12 here in Vienna, how funny. | Ich bin in Wien, es ist kalt und weiß und die Internetleitung ist wunderbar schnell. Heute ist 12 aus 12, ich mache zum dritten mal aus Wien mit. Nur noch 10 Male. Den Blick aus dem Fenster habe ich durch eine Glasvase geknipst.
I have a glance at the pics I took yesterday evening from the tv-screen showing the big gala for the opening of the world’s most famous dancing event: the Vienna Opera Ball. It took place for the 54th time and saw celebrities from all over the world. I consider to to to have a look at the red carpet which probably still lying in front of the Opera House which is just two or three miles from here but I have to work. | Ich überlege, ob ich zur Oper fahre, wo gestern der weltberühmte Opernball eröffnet wurde, ich habe die ganze Show im TV verfolgt – das es so eine traditionell ausgerichtete Show heutzutage noch gibt! Doch habe zu wenig Zeit, mit der Bimmelbahn dort hin zu juckeln, obwohl ich nur wenige km entfernt bin.
So I start to prepare my aromatherapy course for the next two days. | Ich bereite doch besser die kommenden zwei Seminartage über ‘Aromatherapie im Fokus der Wissenschaft’ vor.
And have some tea from my favourite cup here in my friend’s home. | Und schlürfe meinen Tee aus meiner Lieblingstasse im Hause meiner Freunde.
In the afternoon I go for a walk, I need some fresh air and I have to buy some food (this is a motor cycle in spring colour). | Nachmittags muss ich mal eine Runde drehen und etwas zu Essen kaufen, das Bild zeigt ein Motorrad in Frühlingsfarben.

This gentleman had serious problems with that lovely country. I bought this magazine as I love biographies. | Dieser Herr hatte größere Probleme mit jenem schönen Land.
I have a walk in a tiny park, there is hardly any greenery here in the middle of the city. | Ich stapfe durch einen kleinen Park, es gibt kaum Grünzeug hier im 7. Bezirk.
My footprints on the moon in the snow. | Meine Fußabdrücke auf dem Mond Schnee.
Nice church. | Nette Kirche.
Kind of a shrine or altar in an ugly, dirty and dark corner, a lad named Gianfranco died here. | Seltsamer Altar oder Schrein für einen Gianfranko, der hier wohl verstorben ist.

heute habe ich das erste Mal auch bei 12 of 12 mitgemacht. Und jetzt sehe ich, dass du auch dabei bis. Schöne Bilder hast du. Wien ist bestimmt ganz toll. Es ist zwar nicht ganz so weit weg von uns aber ich war trotzdem noch nicht da. Ich wünsche dir noch eine schöne Zeit und schön warm anziehen.

That's funny — never would have thought about a Viennese pirate! (Was he outside the Cuban embassy?) At first, I thought it was the Puerto Rican flag — "Why does Puerto Rico have its own embassy?"). They look kind of similar.
I love that first shot. Absolutely gorgeous. Buy maybe I'll wait until the warmer months to plan a visit to Austria :)
